My husband usually gets one full weekend off of work each month. So when that lazy Sunday morning comes along, I always make him his favorite breakfast... homemade pancakes! My mom gave me this recipe for pancakes that always turn out perfect everytime.
This time, I decided to try to make them a little healthier so I added a scoop of Nuplus to the pancake mix. They came out just as delicious as usual and even more satisfying since they had that daily dose of nutrition in them! I thought that might be a good way to get kids to eat Nuplus, sneak it in their pancakes... they will never know. :) Give them a try and let me know what you think!
In a bowl, mix together:
1 cup flour
1 1/4 cups milk (or Vanilla Almond Milk Unsweetened)
1 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs canola oil
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 scoop Nuplus
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Heat nonstick skillet with 1 tsp canola oil on medium heat. Pour pancake batter onto heated skillet until golden brown, flip over until both sides are cooked through.
